Alliance is pleased to announce the launch of our new training gateway, Recovery University and our new Recovery Series trainings. This curriculum is based on our strong commitment to the concepts of recovery and self-determination.

What is Recovery University?

Recovery University is the new online training gateway that allows users to register for all Alliance trainings (online and in-person), complete evaluations, view courses attended and print certificates, plus gain access to a number of additional courses. To create your new online account, click here.

To register for ANY Alliance training you will need to access our new Recovery University training gateway.

Some of the trainings being offered are designated as part of our new Recovery Series. These in-person trainings will be made available throughout the year to the entire Alliance community. The trainings are recovery and self-determination oriented and encourage self-directed care.

Why Recovery University?

Recovery University allows you the opportunity to increase your knowledge around recovery and self-determination principles and improve your life, or the lives of people in our community or people you serve directly. The live trainings are a place where individuals and families, providers, stakeholders and Alliance staff can come together and learn together. Other training opportunities are available, reasonable, and easy to access. Our goal is that Recovery University becomes a training resource that you find invaluable in your work and your lives.

What is the Recovery Series?

The Recovery Series is a diverse selection of workshops and trainings provided to the entire Alliance community that are recovery and self-determination orientated and encourages self-directed care in a way that impacts the overall health of our communities. Our Recovery Series was the result of Alliance’s Recovery Initiative team that looked at establishing Alliance as a Managed Care Organization that operates within the principles of a “Recovery Oriented System of Care.”

Here are the 12 courses in our Recovery Series:

  • Suicide Prevention
  • Mental Health 101
  • Darkness to Light
  • Recovery and Self-Determination
  • Families in Distress
  • Working with Latino Transition Age Youth
  • WRAP
  • Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) Language
  • Recovery Practices and Dignity of Risk
  • Medication Education and Treatment Options
  • Supported Employment
  • Evidence Based Practices

What is a Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC)?

A ROSC is a coordinated network of community-based services and supports that is person-centered and builds on the strengths and resilience of individuals, families, and communities to achieve improved health, wellness, and quality of life for the people we serve.
